Let me start by saying, I have five different automatic self-cleaning litter boxes, including the Litter-Robot, PetSnowy, and a couple open tops— THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST ONE!
I have five cats (four kittens and one adult) and I dread cleaning litter boxes. I’ve been using self cleaning litter boxes for years, testing new ones as they come on market. My biggest motivators for buying a new litter box were the amount of times I had to change the waste drawer per week, refilling the litter beds, and dealing with annoying product glitches. Additionally, my kittens preferred to use just one of the three existing litter boxes I had, which was an open top design with a crap ton of flaws!
Before purchasing this litter box, I was worried that my kitten would be apprehensive to using the HomerunPET litter box because of the design, but to my surprise, I couldn’t get the thing up fast enough before they were trying to climb in and use it! Lol
It is the largest of all of my litter boxes in size, but the large capacity allows for way less maintenance all around. This also has zero smell to it! Usually, I think those fragrance cartridges do nothing at all, but this one actually works well in tandem with the airtight sealed waste drawer compartment. The Litter hopper is fantastic as well. I haven’t had to lift a finger and it doesn’t great job of refilling to the optimum level.
I usually have at least one or two complaints about products and I can honestly say, I HAVE ZERO COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS LITTER BOX!! I’ve been using this for a little over a week now, and I am so in love with this litter box, that I am seriously thinking about buying another one tomorrow! I have had zero app issues, cleaning and refilling has been a breeze, and I literally have no worries when it comes to the safety of my kittens!
The delivery experience was quite frustrating since it didn’t move for almost a week, and when I contacted them, they said, please wait for an update. However, once it did arrive, it was easy to set up and it’s working great. My cats love it! And it takes up a lot less space than the litter robot. I do love that it has a lot more option opening to clean than the litter robot as well
The box came intact. Everything was extremely easy to put together and hook up to the app. So far my two cats love it! We have had a litter robot for two years and it gave me nothing but endless errors and headache. This homerun pet box doesnt stink, its the perfect size for my two large cats and its user friendly. I wish I purchased it many months earlier. Love it!
We have 2 European Maine Coon and 1 Ragdoll. They were too much for the 2 automatic scooping litter boxes so we tried the Homerunpet box. Used the same litter they had been used to and replenished with recommended litter. Transitioning was flawless that way. After a month, it's flawless! Thank you for a good product
This is an amazing robotic cat box! I have tried a few other brands that were less expensive. But they were returned because they just don't perform well. This HomeRunPet kitty litter box beats them all! I never thought I would say that I love a cat box. But, I really love this one.
I like the box but my cats seem to LOVE it! Set it up 4 days ago and they’ve used it 141 times 😳
I have multiple cats so a lot of potty time. I love the automatic litter refill, with as many times as my crew go. Being able to adjust the sensitivity for safety is great! I have the litter robot 4 & 5 and I am very pleased and would definitely recommend this automatic box as an equal to or better comparison. Oh delivery was super fast!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A game changer for our Maine Coon cattery!
As the owner of Omega Maine Coons, I couldn’t be happier with the HomerunPET robotic litter box! We have adults and kittens throughout our cattery, and our cats easily took to this new addition. Even our five-week-old kittens were able to use the box easily.
The size is a standout feature. It’s perfect for our Maine Coons, and all of my adults can comfortably use it. The wider interior makes turning around much easier for a large cat—a real advantage over narrower competing litter boxes. When you have cats with long bodies, substantial frames, and big tails, that extra room makes a difference!
For the cattery, the huge waste-storage capacity has made a big difference. It reduces our daily cleaning workload, which we really appreciate with multiple cats to care for. Having that much waste capacity makes this box a practical addition to our routine.
The automatic litter refill is another feature I love. Its internal hopper replenishes the litter on its own, giving us one less thing to keep up with throughout the day. There’s even a dedicated place to store the bags! It’s a thoughtful detail that keeps supplies conveniently together and makes everyday maintenance easier.
What makes me so enthusiastic about the HomerunPET is the combination of features: generous room for our adult Maine Coons, a large waste compartment, automatic litter replenishment, and convenient bag storage. Each of those features addresses something that matters in our cattery.
Whether you’re a longtime cat owner or a new kitty parent, this is a game changer! We’ll be recommending the HomerunPET to all of our cattery clients moving forward.
An enthusiastic five stars from Omega Maine Coons—and a big paws-up from our crew! 🐾
Everything arrived in perfect condition. Set up took some time and the part of the video that shows the touch screen isn’t very helpful. Other than that we’re very happy with our purchase and the cats adapted right away.
I bought two of these boxes, and so far they have been great. I have five cats, and it takes a lot to upkeep the manual litter boxes. These take the hassle out 100%. All of the features have worked as advertised, and the safety features have worked flawlessly.
Got this for our ragdoll, he is a big boy at 20lbs, this fits him great! Very happy with it. The system is awesome. Zero issues setting up.
The app requires specific location of you, which is weird, so we are not using the app. It work great without it and functions very well. There’s a large lined tray for auto dumping all of the litter which is awesome, and a secondary lined drawer for waste. It’s quiet, cat loves it
This litter box has been life changing! We have been researching them for years and the Homerunpet popped up in my newsfeed recently. From our research, they look to be a relatively new player in the automated litter box game. We finally decided to give it a try and I wish we would have found them sooner. Setup is a breeze, took about 30 minutes including taking down the old box and cleaning up the area. It holds a decent amount of litter in the reservoir and in the internal area. We haven’t put the old litter function to use yet, so I may update this after we do. There are just a couple of things I’d make different. First is the height. You have to purchase the step if you don’t already have something similar. Second, is the bags. They seem very proprietary in size. I could buy them on Amazon for the same price as the homerunpet website but the website offers a small subscription discount. I don’t think I have it in me to worry about that because not having to scoop litter is worth its weight in gold. If you’re on the fence, jump off it and order one now!
I have had the Homerunlitter box about a month now. I have been a litter robot owner the past 25 yrs and I can say hands down this one beats litter robot in every category. It’s a little cheaper, much quieter and doesn’t smell at all. Highly recommend over anything else I have used.
We received the shipment with no problems. Didn’t realize the bottom of the carton was separate from the sides until after lifting it out. We have one big male brown 13# tabby. He had no trouble getting in and out without a step and no trouble using it. Thrilled that it is a hands off machine since we anticipate day trips during retirement. Actually sent back another brand to Amazon once we researched this one. Very satisfied.
It’s only been in use for a few days but loving it. My cats would sling litter all over the mat outside of the last two automatic litter boxes they had. Not an issue anymore and no smell.
